Tribute to MJ by Who's Bad

Managed to get free tics to this Tribute to MJ by Who's Bad.. Did not know of their existence until their first debut concert at Indoor Stadium last Tues.. Can I say that majority were like uncles, aunties. Drizzling that evening and perhaps due to that, the attendance was only like maybe less than 70% occupied.

Was rather impressed by this Who's Bad group.. The lead singer, Joseph Bell, what can I say, the impersonation was so perfect! Or was becos of my poor eyesight, or the seats that I have was quite far from the stage, but the performance was like super super good, with the exact costumes, gloves that MJ had!

An eye opener for me!

Stranded in BKK?

Been watching news recently, just realised that thankfuly I went Bangkok like in Aug, imagine if I went during this period????!! Guessed I will be stranded there witnessing the Thais in protest..Definitely worse than the lost of passport, and most likely I will be interviewed and telecase live across all Singapore News as one of the "suay" Singaporeans who got stranded there.. Can I say that this is actually a blessing in disguise?? Hmm...

Quite an overdued post, yupz, teambuilding @Bintan! Yeah!! First time trying such adventurous stuff, flying trapeze.. (correct spelling), rock climbing, etc?? Yupz, the fun part was Aloha Night! Like it cos is more like a theme party to me, where we get to wear anything Hawaiian! So fun! We even have those flowery headbands, wristlets to go with, took many candid pictures! Too bad it rained on the second day, if not will be even more fun! Will want to go back there again! Fun!!!

F.I.R Concert - 飞儿乐团

Was kinda excited last Fri for F.I.R concert, moreover is FREE VIP tickets!! Yay! Went HongLim to get props like Whistles, lightsticks etc... Haha.. all my colleagues laughed at me say I very onz man! Dun care, they got to whistle with me ok! Guess this is my third time stepping into indoor stadium.. (okok, I very suaku one..) Overall, I felt that the concert was generally ok (other than Faye they all kept drinking "luo han guo", flirting openly with her bf like nobody's biz.. haha), not as bad as what the papers have said.. Probably I am not a regular concert-person, thus cant comment much.. I like the songs belted out like 我们的爱, Lydia, Fly Away,月牙弯...All very nice and catchy, can't help but sing along with them! Oh, not forgetting the cute guy from "星光帮" - 萧静幐, not sure if this is the correct chinese character..Powerful vocals, but skinny guys, with a super skinny pair of purple jeans.. wahaha..

OMG!! It's really been ages since I last blogged.. Weeks, mths????
Where should I start????

Just came back from Bangkok (Shopping Trip!) a week back. All was fun and enjoyable minus our stolen passports...Here's how it goes... Day 2 (Sunday) - We went back to hotel to put our stuff and had a short rest before heading to Chinatown for dinner.. Somehow, we left our passport in the hotel room without checking. It was about 6plus to 7pm then. By the time we knew about it, we were like already outside, and thought that it would be relatively safe as the room service hrs have already been over..Moreover, we would be back in a few hours' time.... Guess what... When we returned, we couldn't find our passports!! Searched the entire room for more than an hour, but still couldn't find!! Informed both Von and Desmond, all of us went down to complain to the hotel management as it was like 99.99% that passports were stolen by their hotel staff!!! The so-called night duty manager did not even bother to ask us for details or bother to investigate, and deny flatly that their hotel staff have stolen anything and insisted that we must have lost our passports outside while shopping.......Von also tried to offer them with a 1000 baht if passports were recovered. Haha... I tink surely one passport alone is worth tens over thousands. Anyway,we also demanded to see the CCTV and was told to come back at 9am the next day as the office was closed for the day. Ok, fair enough. We went back to the hotel room, trying desperately to search for clues....First, we realised that there is a blindspot which cannot really be captured by the CCTV (as both our hotel rooms are located at the very corners near the stairs). Second, my room was somemore located just next to the cleaners' room, where they keep all the toiletries, blankets, pillows, and probably "loot" from other customers in the hotel (Highly likely that our passports are in there too). Third, when we went back to the room to check for more clues, guess what.... We drew up the curtains, there is this sliding window.. UNLOCKED!!! (though it looks locked). We really get a shock of our lives. Fourth, yes, we are staying on the 2nd Floor...See, now I know why we instantly became easy targets for them..Be it whether it was the hotel staff or whoeva did it, they must have unlock the windows, so that outsiders can convenient come in and out through the windows and probably sneak through the cleaners' back door!! It will be too obvious for them to walk through our main door as it may arouse suspicions. By then we realised that there was nothing much we can do.. We locked the windows again and next morning then proceed to do the necessary...

Went to the counter staff the next morning after breakfast to ask if anyone had returned or what.. Apparently, night shift staff did not even disseminate the info to them, they know nothing! Gosh! Headed to make police report (a receptionist is the one generating the report and collected 100 baht for each report - yes, it costs for making a report), and to Singapore Embassy to do the necessary since Mon is a working day.. If we lost the passport one day later, we definitely gonna missed the flight and have to make another purchase! In between we experienced some hiccups along the way, but it was indeed a pricey lesson earned, and time is wasted!

Warning to All: This "black shop" hotel is PJ Watergate. DO NOT GO THERE, YOU DO NOT WANT TO HAVE THIS BAD EXPERIENCE. I've been receiving many emails warning people how many tourists have fallen preys to such happenings in hotels.. Cannot imagine myself to be the actual victim/female lead of this drama..

Family, friends, colleagues have been asking me about the incident and guessed I've like repeated for dunno how many times le..

Watched this at Bugis earlier after our Fortune-Telling stint at Fu Lu Shou, followed by shopping at Bugis Village. FT told me bout my relationship stuff.. Complicated.. Din know that I could be the next drama queen. I guess things will turn out just fine. (:

Yup, took the evening flight from Macau yesterday.. Super shag, and woke up like about 11 plus this morning!

This is gona be a long entry.. Will be posting on my HK/Macau trip! (6D5N - Free and Easy!)

Day 1
Temp: About 16 to 23 Degrees
2pm flight via Jetstar from Spore..
Reach Macau Airport, then took a cab to HK-Macau Ferry Terminal
No more normal tics, but deluxe price tic at HK$275 per pax. Super ex lo, shall not travel during peak period in future. Off-peak is only HK$125..for ferry to HK
Reach HK at about 9pm. Apparently, the boss came and fetch us from the hostel. Good service siah, ferry terminal was within 10mins walk to Chung Ching Mansion. Very convenient. Hostel was also quite cheap. US$16 per pax, with attached bathroom...But, the exterior of the entire building is very "lao pok" lor, the old old type where the entire building may collapse any time. Cannot complain much as we are under budget. Typical buildings that you alwaes see in HK dramas.
Proceeded to meet Ryan and Ade for dinner at Temple Street.. I took wanton mee there at HK$11,about $2. Cheap and the portion was so huge till I can finish lo. Walk a bit before going back to the hostel.

Day 2:
Porridge at Tsim Sha Tsui.
Super ex at HK$20 plus for a bowl of porridge, but taste is not bad..
Proceeded to Avenue of Stars for some picture taking and then went to Causeway Bay for some shopping. After that tram down to Central to go to The Peak and then Lan Guai Fang at night! Before that we went to this famous roasted goose for dinner at Yung Kee Restuarant. Frankly speaking, we seriously do not know why it is so so famous.. Restuarant was packed with people, including tourists. Of cos, we tried the speciality - Roasted Goose. Overall, the meat is quite juicy and it goes well with the cripsy skin outside. The other dishes were quite disappointin. Braised beancurd tasted too bland, with little ingredients. Though Kai Lan in Oyster is common, we felt that price is quite ex compared to others. Lastly, diced chicken with cashew nuts, dun bother to order in future. Completely not worth the $ as the chicken bites are really small with zero chewy sensation. Total damage done for 4 pax: HK$630, average about $30 per pax.
Really happening in HK lor, a city that never sleeps. Shops open till really late and the streets are alwaes packed with people. Damn cold at The Peak, can really see me shivering and face so pale.. Haha... But the scenic view is really magnificient!

Day 3
Dim Sum at a nearby restuarant.. Average to about $8 per pax with a considerable spread of dim sum variety. Love the ha gaos..
After that we went to take Ngoh Ping 360 Cable Car to visit the "Tian Tan Da Fo" at Lantau Island. Long journey man! Surprisingly there were quite a couple of people who opt to walk and the steps to reach Lantau..Amazing! It really seemed like the "Wan Li Bridge" to me. I will faint if you ask me to walk.. Shopping at Citygate (Warehouse Sales). I din managed to buy anything from there.. Hai~ Wanted to go to Disneyland but it was already getting late and we reckon that it would not be worth it. We just took some pictures at the entrance and continued to shop and dine at Mongkok. Best shopping experience for me at Mongkok. Dinner was at their so called fast food - "Da Jia Le" Portion was big and the food was nice, loved the soup! Dun think we can get such food at this price in Singapore

Day 4
Breakfast at nearby "Cha Can Ting"
Continued on my Mongkok Shopping Part II. Apparently, not many shops opened yet as we were there too early..Lunch at "Da Jia Le" again and proceeded to take ferry to Macau. Yes, this time round we got the tics at HK$125. Met Ryan and Ade when we reached Macau. Checked in at MetroPark Hotel at about 5plus. Yes, we have upgraded from hostel stay to hotel stay. Proceed to visit The Venetian Macao and a few other casinos. Played Casino War at Wynn.. Won HK$1050

Day 5
Buffet Breakfast at Hotel. First time, queuing to just enter for a meal. Yes, we saw a guy wearing pyjamas for brealfast. Very gan jiong.. After that, proceeded to "Da San Ba" for picture taking Senado Square for shopping..
Went to play at Star World - Won HK $200
Went to play at Wynn - Won HK $800
Went to play at Star World again - Lost HK $1000

Day 6
Played at Wynn - Lost HK$500
Played at StarWorld - Lost HK$1050
Overall Net Loss: HK$500 :(
Should have stopped at Day 2. Shucks!

Has been getting very excited in going to the beach since last week.. Too bad Jean couldn't make it, and last min Sarah and Ju counld'nt come too... Anyway, Tanjong Beach was awesome! Swim, swam and tanned.. Yes... Tanned! Guessed I will be turning into a lobster tml, before my trip. The beach was so nice, sky and sea was sos blue.. Nice! Nice! Tried to swim across to the other end.. But swam halfway through, I chickened out. My colleagues were like saying I am already halfway through le, should have perservered... Hai~ The current was like damn strong lor, and no matter how hard I swim, it seemed that I am still stuck there, and guess cos of my "inexpereiencness", I kept swimming the other direction and not direct. Hands and legs tired while swimming halfway through, and it was damn scary lor when you feel that the other end seems so far and you were neither here nor there.. Better turn back while I still can... Would want to go there again!

Shucks! The flu virus seemed to be spreading in HK... And, to tink that I will be flying there next week man! Have already took the flu jab at my house there @$30. Doc said that should have taken 2 weeks before travel. There will be only partial coverage if I take like 1 week before? But still, better than nothing... Advised to avoid the usual crowded area, walk away if someone coughs, sneezes blah blah blah..OMG! Cant imagine myself wearing a mask wherever I go.. Will miss my Disneyland!

-Busy month for me as I have many Corporate roadshows going on - which means, weekends burned. :( Dunno when I can finish claiming my off days.

Feb
- Beat Box Event at Max Pavilion (Exciting, Starry Night where we get to take pics with Celebs, and even "lou hei" with them. Yes, even "lou hei" with 5566. Generally, I would prefer local celebs, they seemed friendlier. They are ok with us taking pics, even a few times repeatedly when we checked that the pics are quite blurred. However, 5566? Bleh! Told us to arrange with their so called "Jin Lee Ren" a.k.a whom we din not know or where he is lor. Just a few secs of your time really matter meh? You will only make yourselves seem "arrogrant" or "dao". Overall, the event was a very successful one, showcasing the different beatboxers. Yes, out of 10 finalists, there was only 1 gal who managed to get in the top ten. Wow! Superb performance.. All of them seemed so young and energetic. Make me feel so old. :(

Would not missed steamboat, "lou hei", photo takings with cousins. Yes, we simply love to "zi bai" every year until this practice has automatically becomes our New Year traditional. We even captured some "emo" shots this year! Check it out!
Also went to Zelo's place to "bai nian" collecting quite a great deal of ang pows, and won a bit in cards! Yay!

- BBQ at KC's place
Is this going to be a yearly practice once again, starting from last year? BBQ, followed by Black Jack's session. We met up early at NTUC to buy food for BBQing. We even bought "Yu Sheng" since it is still CNY.. Guess what, we did not know that the "Yu Sheng" set does not comes with the main dish, radish and carrots! It only comes with the little condiments! We felt quite cheated as the pictures have actually showed the complete dish! Since KC's mum has cooked bee hoon, we decided to throw in the fried bee hoon and just "Lao Ar"! Surprisingly, the "Yu Sheng" tasted the same as the usual ones! You can't even tell the difference! Haha.. Very creative!

-Completed another corporate roadshow yesterday at Suntec organised jointly by CNA and our co. Passed 2 tickets to Ah Hui for the seminar and she won Swaroskvi Crystals from our booth. Total Madness! Even before and during the event. Nonetheless, matter resolved, but can tell that boss's boss felt that there are still room for improvement for certain matters, could have been handled more appropriately...:(

Looking forward to HK/Macau trip this month end! Will return for more updates!

Supposed to go countdown at Esplanade as well as to watch fireworks ydae... But, backed out in the eleventh hour. Reason: Too packed! Extreme serious human jam! The type of crowd where can make u feel like you have no air, like you going to faint any moment! And, it is a big mistake to wear sandals, covered footwear is recommended for the obvious reason..We made our way down to Esplanade at about 10pm... but after seeing the crowd, we headed back from Esplanade to MRT (Home Sweet Home). Very anti-climax.. Haha..

It was a star-studded nite ydae.. First time seeing so many celebs at a premier.. Saw Zoe Tay, Ivy Lee and kids, Felicia Chin, Quan Yifeng,Pan LingLing and family and many others.. Glenn Ong was the MC and managed to take 2 pics with him. Tink I dun look nice in the pic, haha..Regretted not bringing camera, if not can really approach the celebs. They looked friendly though. I must say that Ivy Lee is really really skinny compared to her on TV, but ever so pretty. Zoe looked sick that night, even walking seems to be quite tiring for her. Guess she may not have recovered from her spine injury or something.

Celebs are still celebs... They dont eat! Haha.. Probably they do not want unglam pics to be splashed on papers.. Haha..I must say that all came in very well-dressed, even the very "aunty" celebs! Think we are the only few who came in casual jeans and tops...But, whu cares!

Time flies, the last time I attended movie premier was "Curse of the Golden Flower"..

Managed to get last mins tics and so invited Yukosan and bf to join in the show as well. I actually fell asleep towards the last part of the movie!! Probably due to the packed day I have in office, together with the offsite-meeting we had at Pit Stop Cafe(Very similar to Settlers' and Minds' Cafe, but I tink Pit Stop Cafe is definitely better!).. The staff at Pits actually helped you to 1 standard postcard pic, developed on the spot! You can even paste your pic and decorate them on the wall! It just makes you wanting to return and locate your pic there. Haha..Fun but drained, due to hrs of presentations and brainstorming sessions. Won a Mini Fridge and 2 GV Tickets from the teambuilding session. Lucky Me!

Back from BKK!! 3D2N seems so fast.. not enuff time to do/buy many things (Although I've spent all my $$ there..)

Stayed at Chaophya Park Hotel (Good Service, Clean, Good Breakfast Buffet, but just a bit inconvenient as is not situated at town)

Everything is so cheap there, fromm food to shopping and think we spent like nobody's biz.. Guessed during the 3D2N in BKK, we have turned into "Ah Sia Kias" (giving tips, going for nice meals, etc)

Taxi Meter moving soso super slow, at a starting rate of 35Baht (About $1+).. Really very hua2 suan4. Exterior of the cars are like in shocking pink, bright yellow, red, green etc. Interior of the car are new,clean and quite comfy. We are so impressed, except that the drivers here seemed to drive like they are rushing for time.... Super fast and ziag-zag here and there..

Tried the Aroma Massage at Health Land on the first day. Quite a posh place and thus, the massage is also expensive at about 850 Baht(About $40)...Nothing special. Prefer the foot massage at LEK at Siam Sqaure on Day 2. Really shiok and your tired legs really feel a lot more better after the foot massage.. Oh, it comes with a bit of head and shoulder massage towards the end. Really wakes me up. Quite worth it at 400 Baht. Will want to go there again next time.

Shopping wise, we went places like Pratuna Market/Platinmum mall (Selling Wholesale stuff at really low rates), MBK, Siam Square, and Chatuchuk Market(Hot and crowded, and price relatively more expensive..)

Food wise - Seafood @Chinatown, Shark's Fin/Bird's Nest at Nam Sing and Fuji Restuarant at MBK are the must try food...We really eat til all of us are full to the max...

Overall, we had a great shopping experience. Guessed I bot my entire year of clothes, including next CNY..

Anywae, nothin much to blog.. Quite Unhappening..

Last Thurs, went KTV with my colleagues. We booked the OCBC Recreation Club there. It was the cheapest KTV I've ever been.. Big Room that can hold up to 20, at only $10 NETTper room.. Discovered one of my colleagues who sing really really well, the type where can go and take part in competition type. Whatever songs he sings, really make us go "AWWWWWWWW"" "ting1 chu1 er3 you2" Really nice, and can relate. And the best thing is his voice can really impersonate.. Jacky Cheung, Aaron Kwok, Eason Chan, you name it, he got it. Really impressed!!!

Went down to Suhiam's combat at Bugis earlier..Missed his lessons, he super duper funni siah!

Ran the 10KM Marathon @Padang yesteday..Completed at around 1hr 26mins.. Slightly slower compared to the Shape Run last month.. But, I tot it was ok since I've not been training. (Cali member has since expired in Sept) No exercise = FAT me..

Din do anything much today, just Body Combat, some shopping, movie (I know Who Killed Me - the Lindsay Lohan) followed by dinner. Din like the movie at all, not nice, luckily today is a weekday, so tic px is relatively cheap. But, the movie really sux! It was the exact scenario where Zelos asked me to select a bdae gift. (As per last year) But this time round, i couldn't really decide what I want. A wallet? Spectacles? Or other things.. Walked around but could'nt find things I really wanted. Saw the "Ji2 Mi3" wallet, quite nice, but I forgot to bring my OG card, so I refused to ask him to buy. Haha.. Anyway, guessed I am quite fickle-minded, may change the type of pressie I want..

Proceed to dine at Copthorne Waterfront at Havelock road. Buffet consists of Mexican style food. Ambience not bad, food quite a good spread, service quite good as well. Worth the $$. They have chocolate fondue too!! Home Sweet Home after that. (:

Relaxing day at work today! If only everyday was liddat...

Mend the hotline till like 11 plus today, official time was till 1pm.. Since boss say ok, then ok to stop lor. We are moving!!!!! Packed my stuff into boxes and even plugout the PC cables and telephone lines, so I can remain uncontactable!! Haha....

Long lunch at "Guo Fu" for like close to 2hrs, shop a while at Central before meeting the rest of my colleagues at Settlers' Cafe... And this is considered "Bonding Session".. No point for us to watch the movers pack and unpack the things mah... Hmm.. I still prefer Minds' Cafe somehow. As usual, played those noisy non-brainer games, fun though. :)

Looking forward to my weekend! Also, SHAPE run on Sunday. Haven run at all since my last Sheares' Bridge. Lazy me.

Today is actually a mini gathering aka birthday session for me, Yin and Ah Hui(As our bdae are quite close together) Thanks for Zhuan for coordinating and get everyone to participate, though Jas and LM couldnt make it... Anyway, Toufool came with a sprained ankle that was in a bandage, touched sia..

Zhuan has initially make a reservation at this Waruku Restuarant (pasta). Somehow, as there are 3 Warukus in Central guess, they got mixed up and ended up we din managed to get seats. Zhuan badly wanted to try the black sotong spagetti, which is totally in black.... Realised that every resturant in Central seemed to be badly packed and need to queue for quite some time. We ended up in another Japanese Restuarant called Mai Masion.. Bugis Junction has a branch there as well. They specialised in Western style of cusine. Setting looks very European style, nice ambience. Food wise, unique but taste is just average. Zhuan was very sweet to give us each a crystal handphone strap.

After that we went to this nice shop that sells interesting cards and box. We decided to buy cards for each other and to decorate them with colourful pens. Courtesy from Zhuan again as she is a kindergarten teacher mah.... Felt like kids in art classes. Haha... Proceeded to TCC for more desserts (Chocolate Fondue and Apple Crumble).. We have leftovers from the chocolate fondue and decided to pour the chocolate over on the Apple Crumble. Nice choice! Zy gave us a nice bookmark each and makes me so want to pick up a book and read once again, shall cultivate that reading habit again. 5 Languages of Love is recommended by them.. Hmmm.. Check it out.

Though it was just a very simple dinner with small gifts, I still feel that it is certainly a night worth remembering. Enjoyed the evening with the gals! (:

Haven had this really down feeling for a long time......Politics, this time round, can I say that I am happy that the issue doesn't comes from my colleagues, but from external people.... I dont see it as a big issue but somehow arrows are just being shot at me. And, in the first place, it may not be my fault. And, I am not one who can speak in such a way that I can simply push the blame to others so freely. I DUN LIKE NEITHER DO I KNOW HOW TO PLAY "TAIJI". Glad that my colleagues stand by me. 12km in almost 1hr 50 mins! and I got a medal, but is a finisher of 21.1km..Running the Sheares bridge is really an experience for me.. Super super packed with sweat, NS guys. Think the ratio of female to males is 1:10. When I woke up and opened my eyes this monring, I really asked myslef, shit, why I register ar. Especially yesterday and today(immediately after my run, rushed back to shower and change) I still have to help out at 2 corporate roadshows. I really felt so drained and tired man! However, after completing the run, I felt refreshed and glad that I participated. Never in my life have I ran 12km at a go before. Accomplishment leh...Looking forward to my Shape Run. :)

Was out with Hema and Mabel last Sat!!! Hang out at this place called Candele or something at Paragon(They served really nice desserts,and their cakes are so full and riched in chocolates!!!) But, it camed as a bit pricey; about $8/$9 for a small slice I tink. Next we went to PS Cafe for more finger food and drinks. I tried this "Digestive Tea", which is so so yucky, dun suit me i guess, got a weird ginger taste. The chicken sandwich we ordered wasn't fantastic, maybe cos it looked and it was really the very healthy type of sandwicj. 3 of us just simply slacked there, enjoying the ambience, and were like busy chatting and updating on our lives....Imagine the last time we met up was like at Scarlet like in Feb!! SUper super long neh!

Oh...we actually went to take neoprints!!!!!! Yeah!!! Haven took neo prints for like so long, almost couldn't use the machine. Haha..We took almost like 40mins just taking and decorating the pics! Surprisingly, there isn't any time limitations tofor us to decorate so we took our time to do as much decor as we could, till it was super super packed with cute icons and stuff, till we were getting quite tired. Haha the last time we took was like way back, when we were still working in PS. How time flies!

Here I am..... blogging in office, while waiting for HY to knock off.
Been quite some time since I last saw her? Too bad Jas cant join, and ZY not very comfirmed. Hai~~ DIn managed to get the chalet that we wanted to cel our bdaes together, din also managed to go to Bintan together. It is alwaes so so so so difficult to plan!

Anyway, the puzzle that we made is almost done, should be able to complete by this weekend. Yeah, 1000 pieces will be al in place very very soon! Imagine my National Day was spent puzzling the missing pieces. However, I dunno if I want to bring home and hang leh, my room space is so limited, and I dunno how to drill the screw onto my wall and hang it up. Nice nice, I like. :)

Went all the way to Causeway Point to buy puzzle. Have a sudden "craving" to do leh... dunno why, actually been considering to make one for weeks le. Finally decided to buy it today. The puzzle that we chose was cute, shall upload online soon. :) 1000 pieces wor. Haha.. will have a long way to go. Frankly speaking, I think puzzle is quite an expensive hobby. Just the fram alone costs almost like $50 bucks, and the total cost of puzzle and frame already exceeds $100 lor! Freaking expensive! But, just want to try to complete it and have that sense of achievement. Imagine we have been trying to match the different pieces from like 4pm all the way till 8pm, and completed only like 10% of the entire puzzle?? I thought my vision has blurred after that and bright orange seems like red to me now. Haha... Zelos will have to complete the rest for me, think he has better eyesight.

It's been quite some time since I last updated....

My colleague bdae last week. My new boss brought the two of us for lunch at a Dim Sum restuarant at China Square.. Throughout the lunch session, he began his preaching sessions like how to survive in the corporate world, how to get promoted, blah blah blah. Keeps emphasizing thar, do what you think benefits the boss. When the boss is happy, you will benefit in the end. The statement is like so "Por". And he even told us that even if it is the boss who makes mistakes, never ever point the mistakes at yor boss, do admit that it is your mistake. Ultimately, it is your boss who writes your appraisal at the end of the day. What more can I say. Sometimes, I really really wonder, if the job really suits me. Even though my portfolio has increased, I have not really gotten much opportunities to learn new stuff. I am still doing the same old stuff as they seriously take up much of my time(too much coordinating and logistics work to be done). And, I do not have the authority to approve many things, and very often, things are left there just pending for approval till the very last minute....

Really worried bout my upcoming roadshow on Monday. Is really a very last minute affair, hope everything will go smoothly... Cross My Fingers (:

Was really very pissed by True Yoga's hardselling techniques yesterday near my office yesterday.

Recently has been getting calls from them asking me to come down for a free week's trail, blah blah blah.. Tot of maybe just giving it a try since it is quite near my office and my Cali pass is expiring soon, and also to stop them from keep on asking me to go down again and again.

Appointment at 6.30pm. I was there on time. Looked for the person Lorraine. True enough, she wasn't there think she was just one of the telemarketeers that they engage to pull people in.

Saw this consultant approaching.... Then I tot, omg isn't he the same same guy whom I met with Jas at Pac Plaza a few years ago? What a coincidence! Yes, and I remembered.. We went for some Yoga Combat class back then. I was praying hard that he couldn't recognise me esp when he meets different people very day. But after a while he did asked if I have any sister with True Yoga as he finds me unseemingly familiar but cant recall where has he seen me. Of cos, I just anyhow smoked my way through..

He was quite professional initially.. Introducing me the various type of yogas that they can offer, the types for beginners etc, and also toured around the gym with me.

A personal trainer was there to take my fat content and stuff. I was shocked when he told me that my fat content was very high(in fact on the obesity side), and muscle content very low. Cant imagine that I am termed "obese" in the eyes of them. Added that it is actually very dangerous as my fats cant be seen on the outside in the sense that I am not aware that I am "fat". This means that fats may be surrounding my organs, which makes me unhealthy and also difficult for me to lose the fats since they are rather invisible.

After that, came the crucial part. We went down to the couselling area whereby the consultant went about introducing me the various prices and packages. Super ex lor, compared to Cali. I told him directly that I need time to consider(or at least after my membership ends) blah blah blah and that at the moment since I am now with Cali.... Regretted even stepping in the first place. Hai~~

Started smsing when he went in the office to take out some stuff and I started smsing Zelos and Jas.. When he returned, he hinted I am very busy issit, keep smsing friends.. I faked that I have an appointment and is running late. Guess what he says..."Is your health more important or your friends?" "Yoga helps you to look younger, and you dun seem to be in your tip-top condition at your current age." Isn't he trying to be sarcastic or trying to say I look older than my age? Kept on insisting that I have to go. Heck. Lastly before I go off, he asked me to give him contacts of at least 20 friends, if not 10 friends for him to follow up. I really pissed man, anyhow gave him 5 contacts and told him that I have no more friends. Din even take the trial pass from him. Literally forced me to go for lessons on selected dates, just "agreed" to go. But, I definitely won't turn up. Had a few missed calls from True Yoga, but I just ignored. Trauma even now.

Super super stressed @work. Got a feeling that my appraisal was not being done nicely. So many critics, and last sentence, overall, she is a good worker. Wah lau.... so many bad points then trying to salvage by ending with an impactless sentence. OMG! (Cos of the stupid proposal that I've submitted this morning) Totally ruined the score... And this stupid event has to coincide with the day I submit my appraisal. Worse thing, I have to redo the proposal again, rework the budget, and include all the relevant costs and sales figures... Wah lau, damn headache, I dont really have much experience doing this....Really dunno how to do.. Cant blame me if my proposal sux wat. Tml supposed to be on leave, dun think I have the mood to enjoy myself. Will need to return home early to do all those shitty stuff. Stressed stressed stressed! Especially after all the restructuring, more work and pay dont seem to be proportionate. And, now new boss foreva seems busy with so many committment, he cant really help me much, or in fact hands off. He just nids to be aware of what's going on, and that everything is in right order. That's all. I wonder if my limit is at its maximum.

Had a great weekend last Sat!!

Started the day with lunch prepared by Zelos! Great chicken wings, I like, but I still think that my fried rice tasted better! haha.. just that he put a lot of ingredients inside.

After that Trace picked us up to go to Von's place for MJ session..I dunno how to play wor. So, decided to make Longan jelly for them instead. Wahaha.. Rem the last time I made was during new ear, whereby all of them were like forced to eat if they were to lose duringour UNO card games. This time round, I tink they tasted better... At least all of them showed appreciation for my hard work and finished them up. Yes ,all except Zelos. "Bu4 shang2 lian3"

Tried my hands on MJ. First attempt wor. Have a hard time even arranging my tiles.... My mentor beside me also stressed, but I tink he stressed me more!! Say should liddat, like this. Argh!! I really not a MJ person. To prevent further holes in the pocket, I left the MJ table.

Next up was Peire Noire Oyster and Grill Bar for dinner at Siglap. Selling more of European cuisine like oysters, snails, etc. A very interesting and nice place! I've never been to before. But one bad point is, they made us wait for really long man! We reached there at about 8.30pm, but only managed to get those interior seats at 9.30pm!! Even Kevin who took a bus from town came earlier lor! OMG!!By the time we finished dinner was like 11pm!! The lady boss(pretty wife of chef) was kind enough to throw in a free chocolate fondue for us! :) Von was quite amazed by the expression I had when I took the chocolate fondue. Very "wow"!!

Price wise I think is quite steep, though they were saying that no service charge. Main courses start at around $20s -$30s. There was even a seadfood platter selling at $108!!

But, overall great ambience, great experience!

After months and months of postponing, we've finally made it to Power Station!! Excited, hahaha.. A pity Ah Hui they all couldn't made it. We were given like 10 coupons to redeem our drinks since is Ladies Nite, and no cover charge! A lot leh! Can't finish lar. Initially we were worried that maybe they wouldn't give us the coupons.. (Recently saw in papers some like above 35 ladies were either deprive of coupons or denied access)

Coincidentally, there is this Rihana's impersonation contest on that Umbrella song. Cool!!

Guess we were quite surprised to see a lot of middle-aged men there, some even like flirting with young ladies...even though is a Thursday. Hai~~ they dun need to take care of their kids and wives ar? Or their wives dunno? Or that their wives also go clubbing?? So many questions and so many answers.

Shuffled between Dragonfly and PS. Yupz, Sylvester was there, singing Careless Whisper.. The rest I tot sounds like getai singers.... Haha

Haven been taking pics for such a long time, and the battery has to go flat after like 3/4 takes.

Anyway, fun nite hanging out with the gals. :)

Mini Run outside Caltex house ydae! We ran from Raffles Place all the way to Esplanade and U-turn back.. Cheated halfway thru, haha.. though is just a 1.6km short distance... Guessed I hasnt't been running, can't find that momentum, that "feel". Or, maybe I am just lazy, lazy to get my fat ass up and start to run. Melody Chen, one of the poster gals, was there too. She looked real fit and quite tanned...

I have set some of my running goals this year, and I hope to really stick with it (Provided I can find some running kakis to join me, that will be great...)

1) Shape Run (10km - Sept)
2) Great Eastern Run (10km - Oct)
3) Stand Chart Run( At least a 10k) - Missed it last year of chicken pox!!! So, hope to join this time round.

Training Commenced : In a week's time. (No more further excuse)

STudy leave today!! But.. din study, but went out play! Hehee.. Anyway, Mango sale has started le, since yesterday. Up to 50% discount... Bot 2 bags at $56, quite reasonable price, somemore can use vouchers, happy.. Bot a Shu-uemura base @71, quite steep, can only use $20 voucher. But the moose-like feeling really feels good!

By the way, Zelos gave me a 8 out of 10 rating for me "Ai Xin Cao Fan"

Offsite meeting at Rendevous today! Stressed, but quite fun and interactive. Gotten myself an umbrella for coming in 2nd during the Icebreaking session I. Was supposed to go around to get more stickers (stars) from your colleagues... How to get?? As long as you know your colleagues likes/dislikes, and if you guess it correctly within that stipulated amount of time, you win. So, I guess I know my colleagues pretty well! A bit lame, actually...

Angry!!!!!!! Was supposed to go St James with mabel today. We did went, but not inside. Reason: Not becos we are underage.. haha. But there was a private party going on, and only for invited guests lo. We came all the way. Tink Mabel worse then me from SengKang side. Ended up shopping and eating instead. Unfruitful trip. :(

Anyway, saw Maia at Power House station. She DEFINITY looks HOT.

Have been nursing a bad flu for more than a week le...

Went to RMG clinic just now to get anti-biotics. Guess wat? Waiting time is crazy! More then 1.5hrs, and I spent like less than 3 mins with the doctor.

Anyway, hope I get well soon. Have been seen going everywhere with a piece of tissue with me. ALWAYS. Even I am disgusted by myself...

Hectic day!

Motherhood exhibition starts today at Spore Expo, ending on this Sunday...
People already started queing up though the actual event starts at 12pm..Can really see lotssa mothers and cute little babies!! Our booth is really nice, with the Lion castle and thingy.. Will try to upload the pics if possible. Free icecream too! Yeah, tried King's Pink Guava Sherbet. Nice, I like! Not too sweet, and quite a new and refreshing taste. Unlike those conventional ones like Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry...
Dont really like the food court there though.. The mixed veg stall looks very unappetising and quite ex for the small amount of food. I took those Koo Kee Yong Tau Foo. Normal leh. In fact, I would prefer the same brand but selling at other chains. Or maybe, my taste buds is still badly affected by my PROLONGED flu, with my "sa1sa1" voice and occasional blocked nose and sometimes even blocked nose! Sian, still keep walking with bits and pieces of tissue in my hands. Medicine dont work though I've like increased my dosage. Condemned RMG clinics man. Alwaes not effective one.

After that went to Bleuwerks for the GE Marathon thingy.... Nice ambience, next time can go chill there with friends after work. :)

Shopped a bit at John Little, then met Zelos for "zi char". Sembawang!! Far siah...
But I made him go Novena with me. Haha.. Btw, finally tried "Whatever"! It is actually green tea leh... I was thinking if let's say I want to have green tea, but I asked for "Whatever", then what's the purpose ar??? Actually, before I ordered, I asked the drink auntie what's the diff between "Anything" and "Whatever", but she couldn't really tell the diff leh. Guessed she haven tried it too. Wonder if this type of drink will last long in the market?

Slacked a while at MOS Burger. Poor MOS Burger guy kept on getting scolded by the supervisor. New guy mah.... Cannot blame. But he really very blur and kuku. People want takeaway, he give a tray. People want having here, he give a carrier. Moreover he gave me a big carrier, where the drinks nearly topple over lor. Din want to expose him lah, if not he will get more socldings.. Oh, and where got people accept cash before your food order??????

Have been nursing the bad flu since last Saturday. MC today.

Initial plan was to meet Zelos for breakfast @Mac, then see doc then Home Sweet Home, while he go and work...

But, last min change of plans.. Wahaha.. He took "urgent leave" instead.. Yupz, we ended up watching Pirates of Carribean together.. After that, went to Ajisen for dinner. Dun sound like a sick gal rote, but, I am truly sick la. Can heard from my "sa1sa1" voice, with a severly blocked nose. Surprisingly, I did not sleep while watching this time round. The last time when I watched Pirates, I really dozed off so many times till I dun understand the storyline at all. Maybe afternoon movies suit me better. Mr Chow died so abruptly in the show. And, why did they use Singapore? Elizabeth very pretty, even though without/much makeup...
